VIRTUAL LEARNING : THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION

Since the beginning of mankind's journey towards being civilized , education has been an integral part of our thrive. Earliest recorded education system was in India the famous "Gurukul system" , so did other parts of world had. Some knowledge was educated in hierarchy like father to son (farming , fishing , medicine etc..) some were edified through teachers. By advent of Europeans to India this Gurukul education was replaced by English Education , which in turn started the so called "Race to Rank" in our country.

Today's modern education is much of a race rather than learning process. Both teacher's & parents' pressurize the kids to exceed at all without understanding pupil's interests. Also institutions are providing a time-frame for covering the syllabus , making learning more of a race. There are students who wish to learn so many things but can't allot their time for learning , as they have plenty of things to do on their plate already .Seeing the increase in demand for learning , some institutions are allotting more monetary value to courses than they deserve .

Thus education is becoming much of teacher- centric like delivery of instruction to students. This traditional teaching is a way, to directly control & co-ordinate the students & also provides way to keep children in a line through punishments.

I agree that children need to go through this form of education until they are mature enough to understand the importance of education. Once they see the benefits or fruits of knowledge , they will continue to pursue on their own.

Every parent desires their child to top the class , or at least to best in all of the subjects, such inclination have caused death of yearning in young minds. We often hear youngsters quibbling about their parents not letting them to pursue their dream .

All the above mentioned problems can be solved or at least answered through Virtual Education . Virtual education is a media for learning where teacher and students are separated by time or space and the teacher provides course content through ICT based methods such as Internet, multimedia resources, and videoconferencing.

This type of education provides a platform for people of all ages to learn , in today's modern world Minister to common-man everybody knows how to use a Smart-phone . With access to the "Internet" anybody can learn anything . Some applications like Unacademy , Byju's , Toppr , Extramarks students can resolve their doubts anywhere anytime. The education quality of these applications is also un-compromisable , and the fee structure is also quite reachable for our budget.

Even after acquiring job , employees are expected to acquire more knowledge or at least learn new things by their employers . Application like GreatLearning provide such an opportunity for them to learn in their free time. Thus Virtual education is changing the face of learning by helping the required one's. The flaws in today's education such as incomplete learning , expensive coaching , untimely class hours are exceeded by virtual education .

I can state that , one who is interested in learning something despite of not having time or money to formally learn something can always turn towards Internet to learn in any given time.
